Now the warmer weather has well and truly arrived, it’s time to fire up the RV, pack the camping gear, load up the family and head out for some well-deserved camping trips! If you want to stay local, or if you’re a visitor and are looking for the best spots in the Okanagan Valley, here are a few recommendations:
ENDERBY – Mabel Lake Resort & Airpark
Location: 3514 Enderby Mabel Lake Road; east at the only traffic light in Enderby, stay on Mabel Lake Road for approximately 35 km

Location: 60 km out of Vernon, head towards Lumby, turn onto Mabel Lake Road and follow the Shuswap River for 36 kilometers.
Features: Boat launch, group camping, playground, sani-station, cycling, fishing, canoeing, beach activities.
LUMBY – Cottonwood Beach
Location: Cottonwood Beach Recreation Site is on the Mabel Lake Forest Service road at approximately the 27.5 km mark.
Features: 37 campsites, kayaking, hiking, swimming, boat launch, fishing.
VERNON – Ellison Provincial Park
Location: 16 km from downtown Vernon, follow signs for Ellison Park
Features: Boat launch, climbing, playground, showers, scuba diving, climbing, cycling, fishing, canoeing.
VERNON – Kekuli Bay Provincial Park
ocation: 11 km south of Vernon, off Highway #97
Features: Boat launch, electrical hook-up, playground, cycling, fishing, canoeing, beach activities.
VERNON – Swan Lake RV Park and Campground
Location: 7225 Old Kamloops Road, 5 km north of Vernon.
Features: Fire pits, free hot showers, canoe/boat rental, store, outdoor pool, shady spots.
WINFIELD – Beaver Lake Resort
Location: 17 kms east of Winfield off Hwy 97
Features: Mountain resort, family oriented, campsites, log cabins, lodge, internet cafe, rainbow trout fishing, mountain biking, canoe circuit, boat, kayak and mountain bike rental.
WEST KELOWNA – West Bay Beach Resort & RV Campground
Location: 3745 West Bay Road
Features: A sandy beach, children’s playground, convenience store, laundromat, volleyball, tennis, Lama and Alpaca farm, beach campfires, boat launch and dock.
SUMMERLAND – Illahie Beach RV Park
Location: Okanagan Lake, approx 2 km south of Summerland
Features: RV sites with full hookups and tent sites with water, beach fire pits, pet friendly, great place for kayaking. Seasonal and yearly sites available.
OSOYOOS – Wild Rapids Campground
Location: 5005 Lakeshore Drive, next to the waterslides
Features: Family campground adjacent to the waterslide, shaded grassy sites with full and partial hookups, some firepits, private sandy beach, boat launch, mini-golf, playground, laundry.
