Over the past few months we’ve been sharing various RV Camping Hacks from around the web and there have been some amazing ones. Anything from the best kind of campfire kindling to natural mosquito repellent solutions, from avoiding hitting your head on your RV awning to creating portable scrambled eggs.
We decided to compile the most popular hacks into a single blog post so you can take advantage of the best RV and Camping tips, tricks, and solutions we’ve found so far . . .
RV Hack #135 – Johnson’s Baby Creamy Oil doubles as a super effective mosquito repellent (and doesn’t smell like bug spray)
RV Hack #59 – Adding sage to your campfire or fire pit keeps mosquitoes and bugs away.
RV Hack #766 – Homemade Calamine lotion for bites, stings, and itches: Bentonite clay, baking soda, sea salt, essential oils, glycerin (optional), pink kaolin clay (optional)
RV Hack # 14: Sweet Treat! Twist open an oreo cookie and put in melted chocolate and a roasted marshmallow. S’moreos!
RV Hack #336: Don’t ask us how or why, but Doritos make great kindling for your campfire.
RV Hack #293: Eggs are a great quick and nutritious breakfast that’s easy to make. To save on cooking utensils, simply break your eggs into a bottle that has a lid (water bottle, etc.), add a little milk, and shake.
RV Hack #312: Wipe everything down with Pine-Sol to keep flies away – Dilute it with water to create a 50/50 solution and wipe down your counters, tables, and awnings.
RV/Camping Hack #23: Take 1 empty milk jug, fill with water, strap a camping headlamp to the bottle with the light facing inwards. Voila! Insta-lantern!
