5 New Year’s Resolutions for RVers.

Last updated: 10 October 2023

The arrival of a New Year brings forth a sense of reflection and a time to look to the future with a renewed vigor. Many people make a New Year’s Resolution to help keep them on track and maybe venture into some new territory or accomplish a goal they’ve been putting off. With that in mind, we’ve assembled a list of potential New Year’s Resolutions for RVers to help you drive into 2017!

1. Go Rogue
If you’re an avid backroads RVer then this probably doesn’t apply to you. However, if you’ve become comfy setting up shop at various campgrounds with full hook ups and designer shower stalls, maybe it’s time to try something different. Sometimes there’s nothing better than getting off the beaten track and venturing into the unknown. Try going rogue this year, and experience the widler side of RVing. You may even end up loving it!

2. Show Your RV You Care
An RVer is only as strong as their RV. Like any other vehicle, your RV needs care and attention. Regular maintenance and service checks can keep your on-the-road home in tip top shape. Make the commitment to not only keep your RV in good shape this year, but maybe even think about making some modifications. How about adding a solar panel to save on energy costs? Or maybe you want to improve upon the storage capabilities? If you’re not sure where to start, be sure to contact the RV Service Department for some ideas. They’ll be happy to help and give you some suggestions. Just call 1-800-667-0024 and ask for Therron.

3. Stress Less, Travel More
The benefits of travel are almost immediate. After only a day or two, 89% of people experience significant drops in stress. 89%! If you’re not travelling, why aren’t you? You already have the RV and, if you’re like most RVers, you’ve already got it packed up and ready to leave at a moment’s notice. Make more time to travel this year. Even if it’s just small weekend jaunts an hour away. It’s nice to be able to travel, meet new people, and see the country while you do it.

4. Meet More People
RVing is certainly not a solo activity as you spend your time camping next to a lot of different people. Meeting new people isn’t always easy but for an RVer it should be natural as you’ve immediately got something in common with everyone else in the campground: you’re all RVers! Strike up a conversation, invite neighbors over to your site for a drink, and maybe make some new friends along the way.

5. Go Somewhere New
There are probably a lot of places you want to go that you’ve never visited. Well 2017 could be the year! Make plans to visit new places. There’s a certain comfort that comes along with visiting locations and campgrounds you’ve been to before but it’s always nice to expand your horizons and try something different. Keep an eye on the Rosman RV Facebook page for suggested travel destinations!

Happy New Year and Happy RVing!
