It’s not always the easiest thing to stay organized when you’re on the road. And while RVs are designed to be your home on the road, it can sometimes be tricky to make sure everything has its place while also ensuring you have absolutely everything you need without it all becoming a cluttered mess. So to help you kick the new year off on the right foot, here are some helpful hints to help you organize your RV . . .
1) SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF
Why on earth do you have so many boxes of Q-Tips? RV organization is about everything in moderation. Okay, a healthy stock of toilet roll is a must, but everything else can be paired down so you’re only taking what you’ll need, with a little bit extra just in case.
2) WHY WON’T THE CLOSET CLOSE?
If you’re on the road a lot, it’s easy to start packing a healthy amount of clothing into your RV. As RV closets are smaller than regular closest though, it’s also easy to cram too much into a small space. If your RV closet has a sign that says ‘Warning! Contents Under Extreme Pressure’ then you may want to consider a closet clean out.
3) RUBBER IS YOUR FRIEND
Hear us out here . . . stacking dishes, pots, and pans in your RV kitchen often results in things moving around. Things get broken or your pots and pans cupboard looks like a war zone. By using a non-skid rubber liner for your cupboards mean you can stack with ease and unless you’re taking your RV off-roading (not recommended) your kitchen will stay more organized.
4) RV MAINTENANCE
Tip #3 is pointless if your kitchen cupboard door is hanging off. Your RV is an investment, it’s important that it stays in tip top shape so make sure you have your RV on a regular maintenance schedule. Rosman RV can help here, contact our Service Department to schedule regular checkups!
5) STORAGE, STORAGE, STORAGE!
Finally, it all really comes down to storage. There are a ton of great storage options in new RVs, but even then you may find yourself wishing you had just a little bit more room. Fortunately there are all sorts of RV hacks (a few of which you can find HERE)
