7 New Year’s Resolutions for RVers.

15 January 2019

Forget those run of the mill new year’s resolutions about getting into shape, getting out of debt, and trying to be a better person. Leave that to the regular folks! You’re an RVer, and by god you have the right to create some new year’s resolutions that actually matter, that are achievable, and will feed your addiction to RVing and the open road.

Here are our 7 suggested new year’s resolutions for RVers . . .

1) Hit the Road More Often
Life is busy and it’s easy to get caught up in the rush of day to day activities. Perfection is all in the planning. Make a point to get out on the road more often, even if it’s just for a weekend at a time. Canada has 42 National Parks and over one thousand Provincial and Territorial Parks, that’s not including all the private ones. The road awaits!

2) Create a Travel Bucket List
We’re sure there are places you’ve always wanted to visit, but haven’t. Now’s your chance. Make a list, check it twice, and include all the places you’d like to visit in your RV. Add it to your ‘Hit the Road More Often’ Plan and start adventuring.

3) Commit to Regular RV Maintenance
Ugh, adulting is so boring! It’s true, but your RV is your gateway to travel and adventure. Keeping it in tip top shape should be a priority. Be sure to give your RV some TLC by scheduling regular maintenance appointments. Contact our Service department at Rosman RV at 250-545-1611 and schedule your next service.

4) Be More Spontaneous
RVing affords the luxury of flexibility. That’s one of the best parts of RVing! And if you’re an organized roadtripper with the RV ready to go at a moments notice, why not become more spontaneous? Got the urge to take the family north? Do it!

5) Try New Campgrounds
It’s true that people get attached to their favourite campgrounds. But you don’t have to be stuck to them. There are so many more out there to explore, and you never know, you might discover a new favourite!

6) Get Off the Grid
This can be scary for some people, but your RV is well equipped to handle not being in a campground. Go crazy, roam the wilds, and camp where you normally wouldn’t (and we don’t mean a Walmart parking lot).

7) Enjoy the Open Road
Most of all, make the resolution to enjoy your time camping and RVing. There are few things better than basking in everything the great outdoors has to offer. Pack up the family and embrace life on the road!
