British Columbia is famous for its diverse landscape. There are few places where you can golf in the morning and ski in the afternoon, depending on the season. In the BC interior, you’ll find lush forest, snow-capped mountain peaks, and a little further south you’ll find yourself in the desert.
There are five main climate zones in BC with mild winter temperatures on the coast with snow that stays on the mountains. Spring and fall are mild, typically warm and pleasant, while the summers are extremely hot with an average temperature of over 30°C. In the south of the province temperatures can get even higher, making them a perfect spot for campers and RVers.
This makes it the perfect province for adventuring with an RV. Whether you’re looking to relax by a beach or hike through the forest, there’s something in BC to meet everyone’s needs, and this is no truer than along BC’s west coast.
From the coastal fishing village of Steveston up the coast past Vancouver, across to the Island, and up the sunshine coast to Haida Gwaii, there’s a lot of area to explore.
Surfing lovers would delight at the opportunities in Tofino on the west coast of Vancouver Island and there are plenty of RV parks and camping opportunities as it’s a popular spot throughout the summer months and into the fall when the swells are big and the surfing is gnarly.
On the mainland, there are more than 300 private campgrounds and resorts scattered throughout the province so you’ll never be far from somewhere to stay . . .
