The time to start planning for RVing in 2021 is now! This past year, mostly due to the covid pandemic, RV dealerships everywhere saw a massive spike in sales due to increased demand for RVs. It stands to reason that with borders closed and air travel restricted, Canadians have been clamoring to travel in their own backyard.
With social distancing and travel restrictions showing no signs of easing in the near future, Mike Rosman RV is preparing for the 2021 season.
“The ongoing social distancing with covid supports predictions of another busy year in the RV industry,” stated Jacquelyn Rosman, General Manager at Mike Rosman RV. “We are loading up on inventory to be ready for spring and many customers are putting deposits on their dream floor plan now to ensure they have it for the 2021 camping season.”
The pandemic has certainly changed the way that people vacation, and part of this change has been an extension of the usual camping season. Snowbirds in particular are embracing a four-season Canadian camping season, whereas before many would have already flown south for the winter.
“We are currently seeing an extended camping season with the warm weather and people just not ready to winterize their RV,” stated Rosman. “With so many people not booking flights and cruises during this pandemic, RVing is the best way to vacation and spend time with close family and friends. Many of our brands offer 4 season packages to help our customers extend their camping season.”
While the US/Canadian border remains closed, snowbirds are still planning to RV locally this fall and winter, with a large number of eastern Canadians heading West where the winter is less harsh. As such, the south Okanagan seems to be a hotspot with many private RV parks already sold out until the spring.
