How to Decorate Your RV for the Holidays.

Last updated: 10 October 2023

If you’re an RV enthusiast, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that you’re going to kit out your RV so it reflects this most festive of seasons. But to what extreme do you take your Christmas decorations when it comes to your home on wheels? Do you deck it out with Christmas lights from top to bottom? Do you stick a tree on the roof? Does the interior look like the toy workshop of Santa’s Grotto?

If you’re looking for ideas of how to decorate your RV for the Christmas season, here are a few suggestions:

ROPE LIGHTS

Rope lights are a great alternative to traditional lights as they’re a little easier to store when you’re limited on space. They also work easily with your RV’s power source so there’s no need to hijack a local power plant in order to light up the night sky. Or you can just go all out crazy . . .

INDOOR CHRISTMAS TREES

Having a Christmas tree (real or fake) inside your RV really depends on the amount of space you have to work with. If you have ample room, it could compliment your interior space nicely. If you’re in a smaller RV, a tree might be an added obstacle to climb around. If you own a smaller RV, but still want to tree-it-up, why not consider a tree-top table, or get creative like in the picture below.

RIBBONS! RIBBONS EVERYWHERE!

Decorate your cupboards with festive ribbons. Every time you open a cupboard it’ll be like you’re opening a present!

HANG STOCKINGS WITH CARE

Nothing screams Christmas like oversized socks. Hang them around your RV for best effect.

FRIDGE SNOWMAN

An easy and effective way to decorate your RV kitchen is to turn your fridge into a snowman.
