Christmas Gift Ideas for RV Owners.

Last updated: 2 December 2023

December is a busy month for plenty of folks and holiday shopping can be one of the most stressful things about it. Part of you wants to get the people on your list something they need, while another side of you wants to get them something they want. Luckily, we’ve got a list of RV gift ideas for your favourite RVer this holiday season.

From things they’ll need to cool things they’ll want, we’ve got the gift inspiration so you can make their camping trips even more enjoyable. Read on for more!

Best Gifts for RV Owners: Things They Need

These are things that every winter RVer will need as they venture out into the wilderness.

(For more info on camping in winter, check out our article “Cold Weather Got You Down? Why Not Try Winter RVing”.)

First Aid Kit

These can be as basic as bandages and ointment, or as intricate as splints and a blood pressure cuff. It never hurts to be prepared for any medical emergency, especially when they’re camping away from civilization.

Battery Charger

Your RVer will be eternally grateful to have one of these should their rig’s battery decide to up and die while they’re camping. Many are compact and take up minimal room in the RV.

Roadside Rescue Kit

Another case of better to be over prepared than under prepared. The hope would be to never use it, but a fully stocked roadside kit will reduce the amount of stress should an incident occur.

Tire Ramp

This will make it that much easier to change a tire without a jack or unloading any cargo. Having one or two of these will make life much easier for RVers.

Step Stool

RVers will never not have need for a step stool, and there are plenty that can fold up and be stashed out of the way. It would be useful for adults setting up the awning or fixing something, or kids to help reach things in a higher cupboard.

Cell Phone Signal Booster

Because being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no bars can be an absolute nightmare. Especially if there’s an emergency. Your camping pal will be glad to have one on hand.

Nesting Bowls

Space is at a premium in an RV, so the less room stuff takes up, the better. Nesting bowls are designed to fit snugly into each other, so they’ll take up even less space than a regular set of bowls when you stow them away.

Christmas Gift Ideas for RVers: Things They Want

It’s not alway about the RV; sometimes, the RV owner wants something neat for themselves while they’re camping.

Coffee Pot

Brewing up a nice hot pot of coffee to sip while watching the snow falling is a treat like no other. Include filters, a bag of their favourite coffee, or a fun holiday camping mug to make it a really great gift.

Fancy Camping Chair

Gone are the days of uncomfortable camp chairs, these days you can find ones with lush padding, multiple cup holders and even Bluetooth capabilities.

S’mores Kit

If they’re brave enough to winter camp, they’re brave enough to have a winter campfire. Put together a little box with chocolate bars, graham crackers, and marshmallows so they can make themselves a nice treat.

Smokeless Fire Pit

To go with the S’mores Kit, or just because, a smokeless fire pit can sit on the table top if going to the trouble of chopping wood feels like too much work.

Fluffy Bedding

Camping in the winter means having a heater that works, and nice soft comfortable bedding. Fleece sheets will always be appreciated, and the more fluffy blankets, the better.
